Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description:

1. Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track and evaluate project progress, budgets and recommended changes.
2. Research and resolve design and construction problems.
3. Field Observation and inspection.
4. Perform design, calculations and engineering analysis.
5. Review and evaluate laboratory or field data for inclusion in reports. 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor in Civil Engineering or related.  24 months experience as Engineer or related.

1. Knowledge of geotechnical advanced concepts for soil, slope grading, retaining wall and foundation.
2. Experience in performing geotechnical engineering analyses in bearing capacity, settlement, pile capacity, and design in accordance with IBC and AASHTO.
3. Experience in performing geotechnical investigation including utility clearance, drilling inspection, and recording field log for Department of Transportation projects, and residential and commercial projects.
4. Experience in geotechnical design software and plan drawing preparation including AutoCAD, RetainPro, gINT, LPile, GSTABL7, and SLOPE/W.
5. Experience in geotechnical improvement and Stabilization methods for marine clay, Karst, and shallow rock for geology in DC Metro Area.
